PAYTM had achieved an unique record that no other Indian App had achieved till now on Google Playstore. In 2nd week of December, Paytm App had clocked 100 Million Downloads on Google Playstore. Paytm is the First App to achieve this feat and no other App in India had clocked 100 Million downloads till now.
Paytm is one of the foremost apps that had introduced the system of cashbacks and many other apps like Freecharge, Mobikwik had copies this. Demonetisation in India which took place in the month of November 2016 had given a great push for Paytm. Many of the small scale and medium scale shops had enrolled for Paytm and let their customers pay via Paytm. This is one of the main reasons that made people to download Paytm and thereby clocking 100 Million Downlods on Google Playstore.
But, 100 Million is the count of number of downloads that people had made and it doesn’t mean that 100 Million people are using Paytm. There might be instances that people might have uninstalled and installed the app again. So that might also have counted as a download. But, 100 Million is a Phenomenal Number and Hope Paytm will reach newer heights in near future.
