Amazon which started as a Book Selling Website had slowly spread its wings and is now selling all the products needed for mankind. Amazon is undoubtedly the ecommerce leader in the world although Websites like Flipkart are giving tough competition in India.
Recently, Amazon had faced an issue with a shoe selling company called “Birkenstock”. The accusation made by the company is that Amazon had bought all the key words that spell like Birkenstock i.e Birkenstok and Bierkenstock in AdWords. So, whenever people search for such words in Google, Users are getting results from Amazon instead of the Company Official website.The Company also accuses that Amazon might sell low quality shoes which will damage the reputation of the company.
Birkenstock had already ended up its relationship with Amazon in US and is now thinking to end up its relationship with Amazon in Europe too. But, No one from Amazon had commented about this issue till now.
