Facebook has billions of Users and is the most used Social Networking Website. Lakhs of Posts, Pics and Images will be uploaded on daily basis. Facebook has a team who will monitor the posts uploaded by Users. Whenever there is an objectionable or sensitive content, this team will immediately remove those posts.
Apart from this team, Facebook has inbuilt algorithms too to detect the sensitive content. And Sometimes , Users will Report the inappropriate posts. Recently, A Non Profit organisation called “PROPUBLICA” has sent Facebook 49 Samples where the organisation had accused that those samples have sensitive content and Facebook didn’t remove them.
Facebook defended 19 of it and admitted that 22 posts were not removed due to the mistakes of reviewers. One official from Facebook offered an apology and assured that they will do better in future. He also told that Facebook will be increasing the reviewers strength to combat this better. So, People who want to spread Hatred,Revenge and Sensitive Material Beware.
