GHMC Mayor B RamMohan has launched “Free WiFi Project” in Hyderabad today which includes 1000 Free WiFi Spots in Hyderabad City.
Under “Digital India”, Telangana Government has tested pilot version of “Hyderabad City WiFi Project”.Upon Success of it, Now WiFi Spots had been setup all over Hyderabad City.Wifi Spots will have bandwidth of 5-10 MBPS and will offer free internet for 30 Mins.As of Now 1000 WiFi spots were setup in the city and another 2000 WiFi Spots in next 3 months.
After Stabilising in Hyderabad, the project will be extended to Khammam,Warangal and Karimnagar Districts.Hope it will be implemented by other states too and thereby enabling general public to use WiFi.
