After Demonetisation in India, PayTm is one of the companies which got benefited hugely. People had started using e wallets and digital payments more and lakhs of shops had enabled PayTM mode of payment.
Recently, Indian Government had announced that it will be subsidising transaction charges for debit card payments for small shops. Taking this into advantage, PayTM is eyeing on promoting QR Code as primary mode of payment across all its merchant stores. PayTm had already started working on this and will be launching an aggressive campaign to promote QR Code Scan as primary mode of payment.
PayTm has almost 50 Lakhs stores across India.Apart from this, PayTm is also planning to increase its merchant base to almost it’s double as of now. PayTm has always been a primary adapter of New Technologies and hope this QR Scan code promotion will increase its customer base.
