Most of the these days, every App is asking many permissions like Contacts Access, Messages Access, Camera Access etc. One of the Google Software Engineer had found that if we give camera access to any app on IPhone, the app can record your video without letting you know and send the data to its servers.
Google Engineer Felix Krause found that the apps with Front and Back Camera Access can Record your Video. Not just recording the video, they can access your gallery and can live stream your video to others.
The most alarming part is that all this happens without your permission and without notifying you and the images that had been captured will be run in real time Facial recognition to read your facial expressions. Here is the Link of the video demonstrating the above issue.
One way to prevent this is that use Back covers that cover up cameras or you should revoke camera access to Apps unless until the Camera Access is very much essential for the application to run.
